This piece is titled Kardiniyoo.
Kardinia Park is a place known to Wadawurrung people as Kardiniyoo, meaning ‘sunrise’. The sun rises over the Barwon River, over our mountain country and coast country. Kardinia Park is now a place where people come together to play Marngrook under the wings of Bunjil. The word Djilang has also been included in the design. Djilang is the original name of Geelong.
